MOROBE Wawen’s Giwi Simon starred with a hat-trick in his team’s 10-1 beating over Buang FC on Saturday.
In the only National Soccer League game to be played in Lae, Simon was deadly with his shots collecting goals in the 12th, 15th and 27th minutes.
Morobe Wawens dominated with Michael Saun, Simon and Francis Isom taking control of the midfield.
It was chaos for Buang as they struggled on the paddock against a more formidable Wawen’s pack.
Buang had opportunities at the Wawen’s goalmouth but failed to find the net falling to a 5-0 halftime deficit and the second half was not going to be any better.
Wawens continued the assault in the second half piling another five goals.
Buang’s consolation goal was from Gedou Sosie when he kicked past Wawens goalkeeper Jason Bendi.
