ALL services in the country should be made accessible to people living with a disability, according to PNG Rehabilitation Centre ambassador Janet Sios.

“The message is simple: always think of people living with disabilities when planning for your company or for the nation,” she said.

Sios was speaking at the launch of the new TV show for the disabled, Wheels of Change, last Friday night at the centre in Port Moresby.

“We must have proper planning, we must build roads, walk paths, schools, buildings, lifts and other infrastructure to cater for their needs.”

Jean Parkop, the wife of NCD Governor Powes Parkop, who has been actively involved with PLWDs since 1985, also supported Sios, saying: “We in PNG must make everything accessible for PLWDs, such as transport, homes and buildings.”
