CITY Pharmacy Ltd director Sir Mahesh Patel says communication is one of the areas that micro small to medium enterprise (MSME) startups should focus on.
He said the company wanted to support the sector with plans to showcase various locally produced goods by SMEs starting next year.
“We are 100 per cent committed,” Sir Patel said.
“We encourage MSMEs and SMEs to start engaging with us early so we can guide them for packaging, labelling, barcodes etc.
“Sometimes continuous communication is an issue as well, thus our request to them is to keep in constant communication with us.”
A supply of a SME called the Frieda’s Honey is now on the shelves of Stop N Shop shops at Waigani Central, Harbour City and Rainbow.
Frieda’s Honey is based in Lae.
Owner Freida Palme said it was the first shipment.
