Sir Salamo should step aside

THERE is no confrontation between the NEC and the judiciary.
PNG must wake up to the truth of the matter.
The NEC is not interfering with the judiciary but wants the chief justice investigated following allegations of misconduct.
The matter is between the executive arm, the NEC, and the chief justice, not the judiciary, which is the third arm of government.
As such, my view is that Sir Salamo Injia should not use the court’s restraining orders to hang on to the office of the chief justice.
The allegation of misconduct is against him and he alone must face it as an individual and as a leader.
The only noble and honourable thing for him to do is to step aside and allow due process to take its course.
