SIX suspects who raided the Buin police station in Bougainville on Oct 2 and allegedly murdered detainee Aloysius Koran had been arrested by Buin police and brought to Buka.
The suspects were escorted to Buka by police last Thursday.
Court documents are being prepared in Buka to ensure their appearance in court as soon as possible.
The victim, Koran, was arrested by police last month over the murder of his wife and locked up at the Buin police station.
Relatives of Koran’s wife raided the police station, dragged the victim out of the cells and allegedly killed him.
South Bougainville police commander Chief Insp Paul Kamuai commended his men for a job well done and appealed to all South Bougainvilleans to respect the law.
Meanwhile, police on Buka are hunting a man from Nissan Island for sexually molesting a nine-year-old girl from Taiof Island last Tuesday.
