MICRO Enterprise training should be spread out to all communities of Rigo district to teach people on how to develop and manage small business, according to district administrator Iobu Lalaivaina.
“The district administration supported the training facilitated by Small Business Development Corporation (SBDC) and PNG Forest Authority (PNGFA) recently and will provide funds to assist locals in small-scale activities,” he said.
Funding for agricultural projects is not available until next year.
The “start your business” programme conducted at Gomore village was the first phase of the course training on starting own economic activities.
Lalaivaina encouraged those who attended the training to have the right attitude to run small businesses successfully.
SBDC corporate services manager Peter Kamara said SBDC was operating with limited resources and needed support from other state agencies to effectively carry out training.
