Smith happy for Gallen

The National,Wednesday June 22nd, 2016

THERE are no prizes for guessing New South Wales captain Paul Gallen will be public enemy number one at tonight’s State of Origin II in Brisbane, but his opposite has nothing but praise for the milestone man.
Gallen has admitted he and the Lang Park faithful have a mutual hatred — accusing Queenslanders of having “two heads” can have that effect — but Queensland skipper Cameron Smith spoke with genuine admiration for his long-time Test team-mate as the Blues forward prepares to equal Danny Buderus’ record of 15 games as captain.
“I think he has been a wonderful player for NSW for a long time,” Smith said ahead of Gallen’s 23rd Origin appearance. – ABConline
