DEFENDING premiers Snipers in the men’s and U-Mi Yet in the women’s divisions are setting the pace in the NCD volleyball competition after the end of fifth round of the season proper.
Snipers lost one game to Ela Motors while U-Mi Yet have maintained their unbeaten record and are looking solid to repeat their clean run this season.
Last season, U-Mi Yet defended the shield after going through the competition undefeated and are looking solid with four games to go before the first round ends.
Renos Vanama are tagged at Snipers’ tail while Vailima are in third place followed by After Dark fourth, Scorpions fifth, Ela Motors sixth, Gulf East Timbers seventh and former glamour team U-Mi Yet bringing up the rear.
In the women’s table U-Mi Yet are clear at the top followed by After Dark second, Gulf East Timbers third, Snipers running forth, Scorpions fifth, Medics United sixth, Vailima seventh, MRO eighth, Pom Tech ninth and Ela Motors at the bottom of the table.
At the weekend, After Dark defeated Get 3-1, Renos Vanama ousted Ela Motors 3-1, After Dark pulled off a close victory over Vailima, 3-2, Scorpions nailed GET and Snipers gave U-Mi Yet the same dose.
On the women’s division, Scorpions claimed 3-1 victory over After Dark, Snipers beat Pom Tech 3-1, U-Mi Yet overpowered Ela Motors 3-1 and Medics United brushed aside Vailima 3-1.
