Snipers win Madang darts competition

Undefeated minor premiers, Snipers are the champions of the 2014 Madang darts competition.

The Chemica Limited-sponsored team made its way to the grand-final after defeating Express Maintenance in the semi-finals at Pils Rapa Club last week before defeating Danben Swans in the grand-final over the weekend.

Chemica’s Valentine Warpulu, checked-out on double four from a score of 50 to seal the victory.

Snipers captain, Leo Mage thanked all players teams for putting up a solid challenge.

Chemica Limited manager, Jackie Kiaka congratulated the players on their success. 

“This win is timely as the company owner will be visiting Madang in a week’s time.

“I know he, the management and employees of Chemica Limited will be happy that their sponsorship has paid off,” Kiaka said. 

In the third and fourth play-offs, Express Maintenance defeated RPSL 1.

In the consolation matches, EastWest walked away with the first prize after defeating Plumtrade. 

The president of Madang Darts Association, Sovo Sike commended all teams for participating in this year’s season.

Prizes in this year’s competition valued over K5000.
