Sinasina-Yongomugl MP Kerenga Kua says he is impressed with roadworks carried out in his electorate.
The former attorney-general told isolated Mitnande and Migirima villages in Chimbu that he entered Parliament in 2012 with two priorities – building roads and helping education.
Kua’s presence was applauded by locals and women who shed tears of joy when welcoming their son.
“It’s all so far so good in our road projects and I am so proud that the PMVs are doing three to four trips a day between Mai and Kundiawa town. PMV fares have also dropped from K10 to K5 a trip,” Kua said.
“A decrease of fares is a remarkable improvement which enables increased flow of goods and services to the markets.”
He said local company Kaia Works Limited did a good job and the people appreciated that in their economic endeavours.
The district invested K1.2 million for the construction of roads for its people.
