Soccer’s U17 squad will camp in Lae

THIRTY of Papua New Guinea’s best young soccer players under the age of 17 will go into camp and undergo intensive training at the Papua New Guinea Football Association academy in Lae next week.
That follows the announcement of the U17 national soccer team by team officials in Lae, who confirmed the team will start training from Monday to Wednesday next week.
The team will prepare for the FIFA U17 World Cup qualifiers in Vanuatu from April 17-27.
The U-17 national soccer squad: Peter Pitor, Koniel Vagi, Andrew Aopi, Abraham Mandawali, Jonel Kambual, Felix Komolong, Nigel Malangian, Stanley Steven, Joshua Talau, Willie Kalai, Sammy Garos, David Mingai, Steve Inia, Maya Bob, Gabby Yanum, Glen Kambuka, Joshua Wadunah, Jaggen Nalu, Natha Jake, Wamala Kila, Peter Junior Dabinyaba, Randoll Bongi, Jason George, Nicky Benjamin, Dallas Namuesh, Aiton Yagas, Ilaroa Ila Junior, Henry Jack, David Pora and John Ray.
Officials Bob Morris and Hans Roger called on the players to provide four passport-size photos and their birth certificates.
The players must arrive at the academy by Sunday in preparation for training the next day.
