SOE to affect essential services

Letters

I ACKNOWLEDGE the Government of Prime Minister James Marape for declaring and extending the state of emergency for an additional two months.
I wish to point a few effects of the SOE.
Education, health services, businesses, peoples freedom of movement will be a few of our biggest concerns.
Low income earning families and those struggling daily to make a living in urban areas will be hardly hit especially SMEs and vendors.
People are likely to die from hunger and other preventable diseases than from coronavirus.
We may also experience rise in law and order problems, family breakdowns, high rise in prostitution and other illegal activities.
All churches in the country should play their spiritual roles and allow the Government to handle this imported virus.
The SOE controller should not let his men and women misuse their powers in harassing citizens but help them understand the cause of the SOE.
We should encourage our people to pray instead of spreading fear among our people.
We should not allow any room for Satan and his agents to break in and destroy us. PNG as a Christian country will always be protected by our God Almighty.
