Sogeri sets up Wi-Fi network
The National, Wednesday February 24th, 2016
THE Sogeri National High School in Port Moresby has set up a Wi-Fi system and access points are working, principal Kive Kererembo says.
Kererembo said teachers issued with laptops were using the Wi-Fi network to send assignments, learning materials and school announcements directly to student’s mobiles.
“Each teacher and student has their own username and password to have access to the network,” he said.
He said students can pick up the signal through their mobile phones.
Kererembo said this followed the recent opening of the new science block containing two fully equipped labs.
The labs will complement the other facilities such as its new audio/visual auditorium and Wi-Fi network.
Students and teachers can interact with the whiteboard by touching it to move around images, text and other items on display and teach lessons.
