Soil erosion at Markham River

Letters

IT is concerning to see that the Markham River is eating away sections of the Bulolo national highway.
Part of the problem is the cutting down of the trees which grow along the bank of the river. These trees were cut down by the settlers living along that stretch of road.
When will the authorities see this and stop these people from cutting down the trees which hold the soil together and keep it from being eroded by the river.
