A BATTALION of the Defence Force has released a revised version of the Standard Operating Procedure which is a guideline on its operations.
The First Battalion Royal Pacific Islands Regiment Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) released the guideline to coincide with the opening of the refurbished training centre by Chief of Operations Colonel Sialle Diro. It was funded by the Australia Defence Force.
“What the SOP does is provide guidance for operations, administer and look after the members being deployed,” Diro said.
“The procedure we used in the past is being revised,” he said.
Diro thanked the Australia Defence Force for funding the renovation of the training cell.
“This is a great asset for training men and women as we are preparing for the Apec Leaders’ Summit,” he said.
He said the military was ready to support the joint security operations during Apec.
“We will provide the best security for Apec,” Diro said.
Commanding Officer Lieutenant Boniface Aruma said everything was focused on Apec.
“We are looking forward to it,” Aruma said.
