East Sepik Governor Grand Chief Sir Michael Somare launched the province’s corporate plan 2014-2016 yesterday.
The three-year plan is a follow up of the last corporate plan (2009-2013) that has attempted to rectify some of the declining standards of the corporate culture in the administration.
It calls for greater proficiency and responsiveness to the development needs of the province.
Sir Michael said the plan would empower the public service to strive for efficient and co-ordinated effort in delivering services.
He appealed to public servants and stakeholders to use the plan as a guide to fulfil entrusted roles and responsibilities while maintaining  core values and work ethics to lift the standard of service delivery to the people.
Acting provincial administrator Otto Ganaii said the plan also addressed the challenges public servants faced. as implementing agencies to enhance standards, incorporate and elevate core values and principles.
