SISTERS beat Souths 32-4 in the Port Moresby Rugby League women’s clash at the National Football Stadium yesterday.
Despite the loss, Souths managed to score a try — their first since the season started.
Sisters should have done better but faced some aggressive tackling which stiffled their attack.
A Souths debutant Barbara Semoso said her side were still learning how to play the game but they would take the result as a positive.
“For many of us we’re just in the learning process and we’re getting the feel for rugby league,” Semoso said.
“We may have lost but I think we’ll get something out of that performance.” Semoso said the club was looking to do better next season.
“Our one try shows that we are getting there we need more time to learn the game and work on our skills and fitness and we should be good.”
Sisters prop Brenda Goro stood out picking up a lot of metres with her runs.
