SP Brewery back awards with K20,000

SOUTH Pacific Brewery Ltd gave K20,000 yesterday to back its sponsorship for the SP Brewery Entrepreneur Award in the Westpac Women in Business Awards.
Westpac Banks managing director Ashleigh Matheson, who was on hand to receive the sponsorship, thanked the brewer for their support.
The SP award recognises outstanding achievement by a woman with at least a 50% shareholding in an organisation in the filed of innovation of new products or services.
SP Brewery’s quality assurance coordinator Patronilla Paisi said the brewer had always been supportive of community initiatives and had continued its association through sports, promoting cultural events as well as providing awareness on responsible drinking and gender equality.
SP Brewery congratulated Westpac Bank Ltd for continuing to stage the awards and giving recognition to women who had contributed to the development of PNG.
The event is into its fifth consecutive year and will recognise outstanding women in PNG in five different categories from the public, private, government and non-profit sectors.
