THE Sparrows will look to defend their Port Moresby Netball Association premier division title when they face the Rebels in the grand final at the Rita Flynn Indoor Complex tomorrow.
Sparrows patron Julienne Leka-Maliaki said her side had prepared well for the grand final.
“We respect the Rebels because they have one of the strongest attacks in the competition, with players such as Lua Rikis, Winnie Mavara and Marinama Maha.
“Our defence has won us games throughout the season, so we are looking forward to a very great game.
“We hope to be the best on the day, as it is the aim of every team.
“But at the end of the day, it’s the team that makes less errors that wins.”
Rebels coach Oti Lasagavibau said they would not take the game lightly.
“We’re aiming to win the title but you never know — anything can happen in a game,” she said.
“We will use our back-court to support our attackers and put pressure on their shooters.”
