Spectators no more

Letters

THE ward 4 constituents of the Lae Urban local level government, especially the 3-Mile community, need a market, community hall and council office.
We see development taking place in our city at a rapid pace and we cannot simply sit back, relax and be spectators. Gone are the days when we, the youths, do all sorts of bad activities that impede development in our community.
We are at the hub of the economic corridor, which is the national highway, and given its current status, the opportunity to engage in economic activities is potentially huge and can be harnessed to improve our social-economic status and lives.
We need to keep our youths out of trouble through favourable setups like the permanent Police Task Force Base.
I am appealing to our good MP John Rosso to build our community market, hall and ward office so we can tap into something sustainable.
