Sri Lankan deported for producing porn
The National, Tuesday 28th Febuary 2012
A SRI Lankan national who has been engaged in the production of pornographic materials, videos and child sex was deported on Thursday.
In a statement, Foreign Affairs and Immigration Minister Ano Pala said the Sri Lankan national had been using young Papua New Guinean girls as models in his pornographic photo sessions, including sex scenes with him.
Pala said: “People who engage in such activities and are foreigners should not be permitted to stay in this country.”
The Sri Lankan national was flown out on Air Niugini flight to Singapore yesterday escorted by PNG immigration, customs and police officers.
Pala said this was the first deportation arranged by the task force established by the national executive council on Jan 17.
He said this was “only the beginning”.
He urged foreigners who had overstayed their visas to contact the chief migration officer as soon as possible to arrange repatriation because “if these illegal residents are apprehended by PNG authorities, they will face prosecution and be blacklisted from ever returning to the country”.
