SPORTS head teacher of the St Josephs International Catholic School John Agovai is looking forward to selecting his teams for the school rugby competition.

The National Capital School’s (NCD) rugby competition, a programme of Pacific in Union rugby, is set to kickoff in mid-term three.

The rugby festival is an event where the school gets to select their final teams that will represent their schools in the U13, U15, U17 and U18 divisions.

“The students have improved so well that it shows during their training sessions. This year we are aiming at making it another successful season,” Agovai said.

The students are now well underway with preparations with training every Wednesday and Fridays.

Agovai also praised the school board and administration for their ongoing commitment and support towards the students’ participation and said that it has been a great boost.

The St Josephs School rugby festival is scheduled for June 15 at the Sir John Guise Stadium and students will take part in three levels.
