Saint Therese Primary School’s U16 boys’ team secured a spot in the grand final after beating De La Salle 2-0 in Port Moresby on Saturday.
Saint Therese will look to defend their title when they take on Jubilee on Saturday.
Jubilee defeated Hohola Demonstration 1-0 to secure the other grand final spot.
Port Moresby School Soccer secretary John Agovai said Saint Therese and Jubilee were top finishers in their respective pools and it was no surprise to see them both make the decider.
“Both teams have been consistent throughout the competition, so it’s going to be an interesting grand final,” Agovai said.
“Saint Therese have been here before. They’re the champions in the U16 division last year, so they will be aiming to defend that title.
In the U16 girls’ division, Coronation defeated Saint Pauls 2-0 and will face off with Saint Therese in the grand final on Saturday.
