THE Papua New Guinea Kick Boxing Cup final is on April 26 in Port Moresby.

The 28 fighters have made the final and the winner walks away with a cash prize and a trip to Japan in July to compete at a K1 Max tournament.

After a delay due to a lack of funding for the tournament PNGKBA president and promoter Stanley Nandex, pictured, said the stage was set for a great finale with the stakes high and the rewards worth the risk.

Fighters from Chimbu, the National Capital District and the Momase (Lae, Wewak and Madang) and New Guinea Islands (Kokopo, Kimbe and Buka) are expected in the capital over the coming weeks.

Home team NCD start favourites with a host of experienced fighters while Chimbu and NGI bring an unknown quantity as well as enthusiasm to the Ox & Palm-sponored finals.
