EASTERN Star defender Cyril Muta was in impressive form for his new side, Kakamora FC, in the Solomon Islands National Soccer League.
However, Kakamora had to settle for a 2-2 draw against Kossa FC when the NSL entered its second round last weekend.
Muta, who is a formidable defensive player, signed up with the Kakamora FC in the Solomon Islands National Soccer League will be aiming to move away from the bottom of the league table in the inaugural season.
He flew out of Port Moresby last Friday after agreeing to the terms and conditions set to him by the Kakamora FC and will play as a guest player until his international transfer certificate (ITC) is formalised by the PNG Football Association.
Muta was initially approached by another Solomon Islands club, Western Utd FC, however, it was understood that Kakamora were quick to secure his services.
Star FC franchise owner Joseph Ealedona said reports from Kakamora team management said Muta impressed the team and the crowd.
