A TOTAL of 106 suspects were arrested out of 129 complaints reported for various crimes committed in April at a Port Moresby station, police said.
Station commander Inspector Max Dogme told The National that the suspects arrested were charged with various offences of vehicle robbery, break and enter, possession of dangerous drugs, stealing and sexual assault.
He said the crimes were committed around Konedobu, Downtown, Hanuabada, Baruni-Gerehu road, Tatana road and LNG site.
Dogme said most were vehicle theft along the isolated new road built.
He said his officers were working hard to apprehend criminals and investigate crimes in the area.
Dogme said police officers from the station were working hard to make Moresby-South a better place for people to feel safe, to move around and live in.
