I HAVE a message for all the children and young people of Papua New Guinea.
This message will transform us into agents of change who will work to improve our own families, communities and country.
There are two Bible verses from that will direct us:
Psalms 127:3 says: “Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him.”
Ephesians 6:1 says: “Children, obey your parents in all things, for this pleases the Lord.”
We will not cause issues in our families, communities or country if we adhere to these verses.
If you didn’t not know, we are gifts from God to our parents and we are to obey them.
As a Christian nation, children and young people must follow Christ’s teachings and ways
in order for us to see a complete transformation in mindset,
life, community and in our nation.
Most of us grew up in families with strict rules.
When we were young, we behaved well.
Our parents take care of us, love us and always see the good in us.
Some of us had parents who lacked certain necessities but they still gave up their entire life to raise us.
They have hope in us.
I advise you to steer clear of friends who have had a bad impact on you and steer you off the path your parens guided you onto.
Surround yourself with a supportive group of people.
It is not too late if you were raised in a home that lacked discipline.
You still have life.
Decide to be unique.
If you were raised in a poorly organised family but are now disciplined, stick with that way of life.
Our lives and time are limited and valuable.
Let’s not waste them on useless activities or things that won’t help us.
They only drain us and turn us into bad citizens. Be a blessing to your household, neighbourhood and country.
Observe all of your parents’ wise advice.
Keep to the ways of the Lord.
You will experience an inner and outer transformation in this way.
The time has come to make a move.
