Steamships tees off golf fundraiser

BUSINESS houses in Port Moresby are invited to participate in the Steamships Red Shield Appeal (SRSA) Corporate Golf Day at the Port Moresby Golf Club tomorrow.
The event is one of Steamship’s biggest charity events and major annual fundraising drive to help fund the Salvation Army’s vast network of social and community services.
Steamship’s proud association with the Salvos spans 25years and its success has been largely due to the partnerships that it continues to foster in the communities where it operates.
Every year, corporate Papua New Guinea brings their golfing skills to the Port Moresby Golf Club to help raise money for the Salvos.
“This year, we need 36 corporate teams to help make the golf day a success. Each team registers for K4,000 to participate.
“This fee is tax deductible and all proceeds from this charity event will go to the Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal,” Steamship’s corporate development manager Darren Young said.
“We, therefore, like to launch the Red Shield appeal fundraising with our presentation of K100,000.”
