Steps to take back PNG

Letters

OUR gold mine to #TakeBackPNG lies in the following areas;

  • Agriculture: The biggest gold mine lies in Agriculture and live stock;
  • Tourism: PNG is unique. Most of our forest is virgin, unique flora and fauna, pristine water and seas. World War II was also fought in PNG. A positive step for tourism;
  • Anthropology study; Will co-support tourism;
  • Carbon Trading: Stop the forest harvest. Deforestation rate in PNG is high. Slow it or stop it;
  • Promote manufacturing:

This can be aided by agriculture;

  • Channel water to Australia (a debatable topic):
  • Promote SME: PNG has 8.8 million people. If 3.5 people go into SME, PNG will come of age. Right now, we are exclusive consumers. Time to change now. Turn employees into businessmen and women;
  • Develope all provinces: Time to invest and built other provinces instead of focusing on cities such as Port Moresby and Lae;
  • Manage climate change: We are slowly losing our small islands. A loss for the people and tourism. And, others parameters are also attached to the islands.
  • Manage mineral resources:

It is about time, PNG stop giving it to developers to extract these non-renewable resources. Why not PNG do it itself? It is more than 130 years now, foreign developers have harvested our resources to date. Is it difficult for Papua New Guinea to do it alone?

  • Develop human resources for the international market: Follow what India and Philippines are doing;
  • Do not sell land to expatriates: Stop selling land to expatriates.Other countries do not sell land to expatriates. They are taking ownership of our land. We are becoming foreigners in our land in an unbearable rate. Stop this to #TakeBackPNG. Stop it to avoid the worse outcome; and,
  • Maintain law and order: Law and order needs to be maintained for the benefit of all citizens.
