Still waiting for election payments

THE Goroka by-election was successful because of the service providers and the temporary election workers.
Polling was conducted on Sept 24.
The temporary election workers’ contracts were completed on Sept 25 and submitted to the Electoral Commission’s Goroka branch.
The commission’s officials tasked with compiling data made an error by mixing the account numbers resulting in many of us missing out when payment was made on Oct 6.
On Oct 7, the rejected list by BSP was put up.
Upon seeing our names, we immediately made corrections to our account details and we have been waiting for the payments since then.
We deserve better and should be prioritised when it comes to our payments.
