Stone to hold taekwondo, martial arts seminar in Goroka

Stones Taekwondo continues to promote the sport in the National Capital District and throughout the country.
Stones Taekwondo will be conducting a taekwondo and martial arts training seminar in Goroka, Eastern Highlands, from Oct 26-28, according to master Jamuga Stone.
Stone said the seminar would help prepare provincial taekwondo teams for the 2020 PNG Games in Mendi, Southern Highlands.
He encouraged all clubs and martial artists in Goroka, Kainantu, Kundiawa and Banz to attend the seminar.
The training seminar will cover topics like:

  • General fitness sessions;
  • traditional martial arts;
  • basic self-defence techniques;
  • warrior training sessions;
  • stick-fighting techniques;
  • street-smart self defence; and,
  • Sports taekwondo

Stone said martial arts in the Highlands had not progressed well in recent years.
“This is an opportunity that all martial artists — regardless of what style they practise — can’t miss out on,” he said.
“The training seminar will be from Oct 26-28.”
Stone said he would be in Goroka on Oct 25.
“Registration fee is K65 per person,” he said.
“Only 60 spaces available. Don’t miss out and register now.
“Register at the National Sports Institute from 12pm -5pm.”
