Stop fighting in Tsak valley and make peace

Letters

IT is about time the Palinau and Yopo clans of Sikin tribe in Enga’s Tsak valley embrace peace.
There is no winner in fighting.
Both tribes should not claim to be winner because the number of lives lost and the amount of properties destroyed was massive.
We can’t lose any more lives.
It’s time we rebuild now.
Enga peace committee with police and defence personnel have done a tremendous job by giving orders to tribes and their leaders.
Tribes in the valley should abide by this order.
The fighting clans should lay their weapons down and start negotiating.
All tribes should respect and obey the order from the Government for peace and a better future for us and our children.
Fighting does no good and there is always no winner in tribal warfare.
All the Tsak people should pray that the fighting comes to an end and peace is restored.
What has happened has happened.
Our traditional ways of solving tribal fights are there, exchange pigs, shake hands, apologise to each other in front of law enforcers and stop the fight.
Let’s not lose more lives.
