Stop gardening on vacant land

THIS is a call to the National Capital District Commission and the relevant stakeholders to do something about people doing gardening on vacant State land around Port Moresby. Almost every vacant piece of land within the city limits has been used up for gardening by vagrants who have no right to do so. Some gardens can be seen at the peaks of some hills in the city. The city authorities should do away with this practice because if left unattended, these gardens would then lead to makeshift homes built along the periphery by these illegal gardeners, resulting in more unplanned settlements and more problems again when an eviction takes place.
