Stop littering and let’s keep Lae clean

LAE is the engine room of our country’s industry and economy.
However, it is also one of the dirtiest cities in the country.
Everywhere you turn, you will see rubbish and betelnut stain.
This is not something I would have expected in the se­cond biggest city in the country.
All of us must learn how to conduct our lives, act and think sensibly.
We cannot throw rubbish anywhere and whenever we feel like it.
Such attitude shows we are immature in thinking and have lower reasoning abilities.
Let us change ourselves for the better and by keeping our city clean.
You will be surprise what a difference it can make for us.
I call on the Lae city authority to provide more rubbish bins in the main shopping areas, bus stops and markets and also fix the public toilet in Top town.
It would be better if the city council were to replace the toilet with a newer and bigger one because the city’s po­pulation has in­creased so much in the last few years.
The city authority must come down hard on those caught littering and spitting betelnut juice discriminately.
