Stop misleading people Sir Puka

Letters

SIR Puka Temu, Bougainville Affairs Minister, should not be allowed to continue providing misleading information and advice to the country.
In his statement reported on radio New Zealand recently, he was reported saying that the Autonomous Bougainville Government will remain for another five years.
That is misleading.
In the event that both the Bougainville government and the National Government, through consultation, agree to a type of political status, before 2025, say in 2023, the current Bougainville government can be done away with for the new political entity to be established.
If both parties agree on independence for Bougainville to be granted in 2023, why should the parties wait for the Bougainville government to continue till 2025?
This is not the first time that Sir Puka has misled the nation and Bougainville.
