Stop praising politicians

Letters

MANY times, the media praises politicians for their work.
But we forget that not all politicians work hard.
The money they use for goods and services are public funds.
We need to congratulate the hardworking foreigners from Asia and other parts of the world who are investing in our country by operating businesses and providing employment for Papua New Guineans.
They deserve our thanks and respect.
We need to congratulate them because they are the ones who provide employment opportunities for school leavers, technical people and those with various qualifications.
Another group that we should congratulate are hardworking Papua New Guinean businessman and women.
One of these businessman include Eke Lama, who recently purchased Alotau International Hotel.
People such as Lama and others, including Sam Tasion, Jacob Luke, Robert Agarobe and other well-established Papua New Guinean business men and women deserve rewards and praise from us and our Government for their contribution towards the development of our country and helping Papua New Guineans put food on the table.
We should be grateful for having such people in our community because they do what most politicians cannot.
I congratulate Lama for his acquisition of Alotau International Hotel.
Thank you as well for providing jobs for over 200 Papua New Guineans.
