Stop sharing graphic content

IN light of the tense situation between the two ethnic groups in Moresby South, National Capital, District I appeal to the relevant authorities to remove the closed circuit television (CCTV) footage and drone image of the brutal murder at Koki, which has gone viral on social media.
These images are traumatic.
It is causing fear, panic and stress in the nation’s capital and can provoke more problems.
Many people, including children, have been traumatised by the footage and images.
There should be a strict guideline that restricts posting CCTV footages that contain horrific murder scenes for public viewing.
Any graphic image of bloodshed captured on CCTV should be used appropriately for police and court matters. The footage has negatively affected a lot of minds and it will take time for those disturbing images to be erased.
