Stop stoning us please: PMV driver

National, Normal

ROUTE 100 PMV operators in the highlands region are calling on Eastern highlanders living along the Highlands Highway to refrain from stoning their buses.
Peter Ulup, a PMV operator from Waghi Bridge in Western Highlands said yesterday that PMV operators from other provinces were always victims along the road especially between Asaro and Kombri.
Ulup, who owns three 25-seater coaster buses operating between Mt Hagen,  Lae and Madang raised this concern after being attacked on Monday night at Henganofi in which the back screen and side glass of his new 25-seater coaster bus was smashed by stone throwers.
He said it cost him almost K15,000 to replace the broken wind screens and side glasses.
