THE Moresby South Rugby League A-grade division’s top-four teams head into Sunday’s matches at the Sir Bill Skate Oval desperate to secure a spot in the grand final.
The L&A Bulldogs lock horns with reigning champions Warako Storm while the main fixture will see Vadavada United face the Southern Sons, with the winners advancing to the grand final next week.
It is going to be a daunting task for the Bulldogs, who played three rematches in the elimination finals.
The Storm, who had three weeks off while waiting for the Bulldogs-Vikings outcome, head into the match refreshed.
The Storm are aware that if they lose, they will be unable to defend their title this season.
In the other fixture, United need to be disciplined if they are to keep the Sons at bay and take out the other spot in the grand final.
Moresby South chairman Brown Murema said club managements should inform their players and supporters to refrain from disrupting the games. Murema said clubs with unruly players and supporters would be considered for suspension next season.
“Let the teams play and allow the results to speak for themselves,” he said.
“Our referees and touch judges should also be respected
“Any assault on them will be dealt with accordingly.”
