Strategic manoeuvres to get hold of PNGSDP

WE have observed with total bewilderment, the twist and turns as the Government manoeuvred its way to gain total control of the PNG Sustainable Development Program.

The first step was total submission of the political leadership of Western.

Next was the banning of the then head of PNGSDP, Ross Garnaut, who was replaced by Sir Mekere Morauta.

The final blow has been the expropriation of the PNGSDP by legislation and Sir Mekere shown the door.

It seems that Parliament and the so-called "leaders" are made up of people who do not seem to have some degree of intelligent reasoning.

The content of parliamentary debates are a reflection of the level of their thinking and their ability to articulate credibly on the subject in contention.

As it is, we are heading down the fast lane to self-destruction if the current trend is not arrested.
