YOU can now identify them clearly with their new official The National T-shirts and bags.
Pacific Star Ltd, publishers of The National, yesterday handed out T-shirts and bags to 16 of its newspaper vendors as a token of appreciation for the impressive circulation in the National Capital
District.
“In Port Moresby, the circulation for the streets alone is more than 23,000 and we cover more areas than our competitors,” circulation manager Mado Banaga said.
The vendors were grateful for the recognition of their services.
“Mi hamamas lo yunifom lo promotim kampani bikos taim mi wokabaut lo strit lo salim pepa bai ol man i save olsem Nesenel man i kam (I am happy with the uniform, to promote the company because when I sell papers on the streets people will know that The National man is coming),” Jacob Konambi said.
Willie Woure, a 60-year-old vendor who has been selling newspapers for almost 13 years said: “Komisen blo salim pepa em siks o sewen taims moa long fotnait blo mi taim mi wok wantaim dipatmen blong agrikalsa (The commission I get from selling newspapers is six to seven times greater than the salary I got when I was with the Agriculture Department).”
Newspaper vendors in other provinces are expected to get their T-shirts and bags soon.
