THE Simbu Adventist Students Association (SASA) in Port Moresby are fundraising to support community development projects in the Omdara community in Chimbu during Christmas.
The Omdura community is in the Kumai-Bomai local level government of Gumine.
The community projects planned to be implemented include renovating a classroom and supplying library books to Omdara Primary School; renovating Omdara community aid post and building a staff house.
They will also support a water supply project and the construction of a local Seventh–Day Adventist church building.
Port Moresby SASA president Torit Dulume and fundraising chairman John Wamil said the community projects would be implemented in conjunction with the association’s 31st anniversary convention at Omdara in December.
“Our aim is to reach the unreached and touch the untouched souls through student ministry and the delivery of these projects,” the said.
“It requires finances and we are currently doing fundraising to raise funds for these projects.”
