THE University of Papua New Guinea Gulf Students Association has received funding assistance from Kikori MP Soroi Eoe.
The association was presented K10,000 last Thursday to support their fundraising activities towards a planned end-of-year awareness campaign.
The association had requested assistance from Eoe as well as other Gulf MPs.
Kikori official Solomon Hakava told the students to use the funds well and for the intended purpose and to provide acquittals.
Hakava said Eoe was keen to support the next generation of Gulf’s leaders and workers.
Association president Lora Lare thanked Eoe and his office for the assistance and said the Eoe was the only Gulf MP who had responded.
Part of the funds were used to stage Gulf provincial day last Saturday while the other part would be used to run educational awareness campaigns at the end of the year.
