Student wins K50,000 BSP promo

A YOUNG man who only opened his Kundu account in April this year has won K50,000 in the BSP Green Gold cash giveaway for August.
Archie Fitcher, 22, from Milne Bay, was lost for words when presented his K50,000 by BSP group chief executive Ian B Clyne in Port Moresby yesterday.
His K200 ATM withdrawal at the end of last month was drawn as the major prize winner for the month.
The accounting student, who is the first of four siblings, says he will use part of the windfall to pay for his school fees for the next two years  so he can obtain his diploma.
He already has a certificate in accounting.
“Words cannot express how happy I am to win this large amount of money, which I will use to complete my studies and obtain my Diploma, among other things,” Fitcher said.
“I am very grateful to BSP for this win, as it will greatly ease the burden off my dad, who pays for my school fees and also sends me allowances.”
He would also help his mum complete their family home in the village. 
Fitcher is among 201 August monthly winners who shared in a total of K100,000 in the BSP Green Gold cash giveaway.
BSP has now presented a total of K300,000 to 603 winners in the promotion.
In December, one lucky BSP customer will win K1 million cash in the grand prize draw.
“Green Gold cash giveaway encourages the use of BSP’s electronic channels, ATM, Eftpos and mobile banking,” Clyne said.
 “The more you use your KunduCard, the more chances to win.”
