Students have been encouraged to help save protected and endangered animals which are unique to Papua New Guinea.
Port Moresby Nature Park Life Science manager Ishimu Bebe made the call when speaking to grade 5 pupils from Gerehu at the park last week.
The students were at the park as part of an assignment on protected and endangered wildlife.
Mrs Kutal, the teacher who accompanied the students, was impressed with the information that was made available to the pupils.
“It’s fascinating to see the animals up close and I am proud that such a place as Port Moresby Nature Park exists,” she said
Port Moresby Nature Park runs special programmes for schools which support learning outcomes.
