UNIVERSITY of Technology staff took part in a dedication crusade hosted by the Tertiary Student Christian Fellowship and the Student Representative Council.

The crusade began on Monday and ended on Friday last week. The dedication was led by Reverend Anthony Dalaka.

Dalaka prayed for the smooth operation of the university and for the students.Administration staff, lecturers, department heads, ancillary staff and students attended the service at Duncanson Hall.

Fellowship president Fred Kawayo said they wanted students to succeed in their studies and whatever they learnt in their fields “must be incorporated with the word of God”.

“When students leave after their studies and join the workforce, they must be filled with Godly principles and be law-abiding citizens. This is what our nation is crying out for at this time and day,” Kawayo said.

Dalaka prayed against unwanted pregnancy, ethnic clashes, and alcohol and drug abuse.

“Consecration prepares a generation or a nation for God to take charge,” he said.
