THREE Lae Secondary School students who are part of National Soccer League club Northern Youth received sporting gear from a company in Lae, Morobe, on Friday.
The assistance is part of Panamex Pacific’s ongoing support towards the school’s men’s and women’s Lae Football Association (LFA) teams.
Presenting the gear to Emmanuel Zoriry, Rex Civil and Nigel Kiaka Jr, company national marketing and sales manager Ronald Ram said the whole idea was about empowering youths by paving a development pathway for them.
He said the company wanted to create an alternate pathway for students as not everyone would excel academically.
“We have done this in the past but we haven’t really done it with a particular school,” Ram said.
“So we have chosen to support Lae Secondary School for the next few years.
“The good thing is that the school is participating in the LFA competition and three of their boys have been selected for Northern Youth this year, so this is the support towards the trio.
“I asked them if they needed any support from me and they requested for boots, running shoes, sheen pads, bags, shorts and some stuff.
