Students, staff set for meet

 STAFF and students at the University of Technology’s (Unitech) mining engineering department will attend a workshop on mineral processing next week.

Three experts from the University of Queensland, Australia, will conduct the workshop from Nov 5-9. 

The facilitators from JKTech, a business arm of the University of Queensland, will run the workshop.  

JKTech is an important mining consultancy group from Australia that provides essential services and training to mining industries and institutions around the world.

The participants will include 25 fourth-year students, two candidates studying for their masters in philosophy qualifications and three staff from the mineral processing section of the mining engineering department.

The joint initiative between the two universities was funded through the support of the Chamber of Mines and Petroleum and AusAID.
