TERTIARY students and graduates in Dei district, Western Highlands are conducting awareness campaigns  during their Christmas holidays.

Issues they will cover include drug, alcohol, HIV/AIDS, tribal fights and political differences. They will promote Christian values, agriculture and education.

They will host a one-week crusade this week at the Nunga Primary School.

Dei MP Westley Nukundi gave K35,000 to assist them in the crusade and awareness.

District administrator Steven Korowa thanked Nukundi for assisting the students.

“I also would like to thank the students for the good initiative they are taking,” he said.

Korowa told the students that they were the ones who would help the district.

The president of Dei Students and Graduates Association James Nelson said  they must be productive for the benefit of the people of Dei and the future generation.
