Submarine cable project to be commissioned today

The Kumul Submarine Cable Network (KSCN) project which will improve the country’s internet capabilities by 100 gigabytes per second will be commissioned today (Monday) in Vanimo, West Sepik.
State Enterprises Minister Sasindran Muthuvel went with the team from PNG DataCo Ltd to commission the Kumul Submarine Cable landing in Vanimo.
It is a sub-project under the national transmission network to connect the whole country with a modern transmission infrastructure.
The Kumul Submarine cable connects Jayapura to Vanimo.
According to Papua New Guinea DataCo Ltd, the cable landing in Jayapura will give the country another international cable route to ensure service protection and network reliability.
